Requirements Networking Group successfully launched for requirements gatherers

TORONTO, Ontario, July 7, 2006 – Requirements Networking Group (RQNG) has successfully completed the launch of a community website dedicated to the discipline of Information Technology Requirements Management. RQNG is targeted to Information Technology professionals such as Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Project Managers, and Testers having a direct association with requirements gathering and related disciplines.

With its initial launch, the Requirements Networking Group will offer the following content and features:

Articles - written by industry leaders about timely and compelling issues

Archives – designed for researching by Category

Forums – to share ideas and knowledge with other community members

Blogs – to share thoughts relevant and important to you

Groups – create your own group and invite others to join

Vendor Links – search vendors offering services in Requirements Tools, Consulting, Education, Job Placement, Associations, and others.

Job Postings – listing of active job opportunities relevant to the Requirements community

The primary focus of RQNG will be on Requirements Management, including best practices on how to capture them, how to ensure completeness, how to properly manage them, and how to test them. RQNG will provide insights on tools, techniques, methodologies, and education related to Requirements.

RQNG was founded to address the fundamental issues of why an estimated 60% - 80% of project failures can be attributed directly to poor requirements gathering, requirements analysis, and requirements management1.
